The Trail is Finished!

We did it! After six and a half grueling months, we completed the entire Appalachian Trail, starting March 5th via the Approach Trail to Springer Mountain, Georgia and ending September 18th at Mt. Katahdin in Maine! Words cannot express our awe at God's provision, the true miracles we witnessed, and the wonders of all we had seen and endured. The hike itself is documented on Trail Journals (see the link) but certainly more will be posted as I spend time reflecting on this life-changing journey.

i am not sure if you'll remember me or not...but i picked you up one morning when you were in gorham, nh, hitching a ride to the joe dodge lodge/pinkham notch visitor center trail head area...i had the grey volvo...

i have read some of your trail journals -- what an amazing trip!...

HUGE contrats to you and PB for making the trip!...i am so glad i stopped to pick you guys up that morning...

we're getting our first snow here in new hampshire...it started this morning and has continued off and on through the day, and at 10:00 at night it's still snowing some...we have about 4 to 6 inches, perhaps....i feel bad for anyone who is still out on the trail, as this time of year it is not fun to be out in the elements...it's also not exactly *safe* with the freezing temperatures...

anyhow, i am so glad to have found out here on blogger, too!...i hope you are enjoying your time back home, and are enjoying reflecting on your experiences out on the trail!!...

many blessings to you,
