My life has opened up right now for me to try a southbound attempt at the AT starting at Katahdin in Maine, July 1 (I completed a northbound hike of the entire At in 2007). I am currently hiking all of Virgnia in the hopes of finishing this venture by mid November in time for my hubby's birthday. But everything is contingent on ankle and knees cooperating, along with the mental aspects, etc.To follow the journey, please refer from now on to my trail journal which I will update with a future section hike of VA and my start on July 1 at Katahdin.
